The Day That Changed Our World
What seemed to be just a normal Sunday at the soccer fields turned into a day that changed our family’s and community’s lives. Allie Estelle was just shy of her third birthday and caught sight of her brother playing soccer in the field across the parking lot. Like any little sister would do she stepped off a grassy median to go play with him, when a distracted driver on her cell phone never looked before turning in the parking lot and ended Allie’s life.
In the split second, Allie was gone with her Dad right by her. The driver was going too fast that her Dad couldn’t save her in time. A phone call seemed to be more important than Allie’s life. Now we are on a mission to share her story and end distracted driving: Allie’s Way. Help us accomplish awareness and end distracted driving not only in Texas, but all over the world.
Allie’s Way mission is to spread awareness about the dangers of distracted driving (e.g., use of cell phones while driving) through events, social media campaigns, speaking opportunities, community service, and public service announcements, especially advocating for safer parking lots adjacent to places frequently visited by children. We also provide college scholarships and will offer relief funds for distracted driving victims as a future initiative. This has been our mission since losing our 2-year-old daughter to a woman who was driving with the cell phone up to her ear in a soccer field parking lot on September 29, 2019.
Allie’s Way is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization; your donation is tax-deductible. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record, which will be sent to you upon your successful donation completion.
